I suspect it to be the oil sending unit or switch since the gauge stays pegged at over 80 psi.
You'll find that an automotive equivalent of "1999 Chevy Suburban 350" will work just fine as a replacement.? Having said that, the oil pressure sending unit has nothing to do with any alarm.? The ECM pressure switch will trigger the beeper, and should start beeping immediately on key up, but turn off after engine start after sensing oil pressure.

Hey guys new to this forum and Malibu boats.?
I have just purchased my first 08 Malibu Response Lxi. I have been out four times now on the water and have noticed that in the rear storage compartment on the right and left side that the carpet is wet and has not dried out in 4 days? I have not had people soaked on board and it has not been raining. The carpet is only wet at both sides and is about a 7” x 7” area of the carpet?that is soaked?? Anybody have any clue what could be leaking?? Or is this normal (which I wouldn’t think so) or is something leaking back there?- 1 hour ago, surfdude said:
So... my 2019 lsv sold this week. My dealer has a 2020 that I ordered last fall. Would you take this boat now, or try to hold out for a 2021 23 lsv, now that we know the new changes?? My hip was replaced 2 weeks ago, so no water sports till September.?
I personally really like the rear walkthrough, so I'd be trying to get into the 2021. New gel design doesn't hurt either.
Talk to your dealer and see what they can do, since you're injured anyway. Right now they're probably more worried about running out of boats to sell?in a few weeks, so this may actually help them keep up with the current demand. They could sell a $100K+ boat, at a nice profit, to a family new to boating, and still keep you on the books for this fall.??
